July 2024 Newsletter
Exciting UKHF Update
Dear UKHF supporters and donors,
With this newsletter we’d like to share some exciting new developments in UKHF with you.
Over the years UKHF has aided in the welfare and development of thousands of orphaned children of Busiiro Village by supporting the Ugandan charity Healing Focus Orphanage Centre through the generous donations you all have made.
Some of the highlights of what we have been able to achieve thanks to your support: build secure, long lasting structures for the children to learn and live in, provide clean drinking water through the creation of the Water Well, and ensure a constant supply of food through buying land for crops. All of this on top of educating 250 children each year!
UKHF’s aim has always been to develop the independence of Healing Focus Orphanage Centre (HFOC) and we are thrilled to tell you that this is indeed our next step. In fact, Timothy Mamo (trustee) and myself (chairperson) will be going to Uganda at the end of July to start this transition in a strong and collaborative way.
We have a structured plan that allows us to gradually transition full financial responsibility to HFOC over the next 2 years. The plan’s main aim is to ensure the financial stability and continued success of HFOC in Busiiro, which we aim to do in multiple ways. Some of these ways are to increase the skill set of Tom, Esther, and others involved in HFOC by sending the running costs over longer periods of time to support the managing of lump sums, as well as by offering training in social enterprise skills.
In order to ensure we are able to do this we need you, our most loyal and appreciated donors to help us with one final push to get us over the finish line. The more money we have, the more we can set HFOC up for success as an independent organisation.
You can donate by clicking the donate button below.
If you would rather make a direct transfer, please reach out via email (ruby@ukhealingfocus.org) or social media (Facebook or Instagram) and I will share our bank account details with you.
Kind regards,
